The previous Jazz was such a successful car that creating its successor was always going to be a challenge. But by enhancing the car’s strongest qualities, the engineers at Honda have taken Jazz on to the next stage, producing a car with even greater flexibility, more interior space and a ‘bigger car’ feel.
Arriving at a time of rising fuel prices and general tightening of belts, the latest Jazz offers a range of lively, economical petrol engines, which will appeal to the increasing number of cost-conscious motorists and downsizers.
With TARDIS-like packaging, this clever and versatile car has a class-leading specification, finished with high quality materials and trim. In short, the new Jazz offers all the benefits of a large car, in the mould of a small one. The new model is a formidable second generation car that raises the bar even further in the highly competitive supermini segment.
Ready for Anything
The Honda Jazz is intelligently designed for incredible versatility. Light and space meet strength and shape to create a car that's big on the inside and small on the outside.
The short nose and rear end give the Jazz an incredibly tight turning circle and open up even the smallest parking spaces. A low centre of gravity ensures good handling and stability on corners and the broad stance opens up the interior. There's plenty of boot space, expanding further when the Magic Seats are folded flat. And a two-tier design on 1.4 petrol models gives you the adaptability to keep delicate and heavy items separate.
Magic Seats
Flip up. Fold down. Recline. You can transform the interior of the Honda Jazz in over 180 ways at the lift of a lever or push of a button. The rear seats lift up, fold over and lock down in one easy movement, and the 60:40 split folding design creates near-endless configurations for your ever-changing requirements.
From a row of comfortably contoured rear seats to a large new storage space big enough for a bicycle, all in seconds. This is design flexibility at its simplest. We call them Magic Seats.
Unrivalled Views
When you drive the Honda Jazz, there's a lot more to see. A specially-designed windscreen increases all-round vision and thinned pillars allow light to flood the cabin. The panoramic glass roof, available on top grade models, reveals the sky at the touch of a button.
Performance
With an innovative i-VTEC engine in 1.2 or 1.4 litre capacities, the Jazz promises lively performance across all engines and perfectly combines fuel economy and low emissions with driving pleasure.
A choice of conventional 5-speed manual or advanced automatic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gives you the options to suit the way you prefer to drive. The innovative automatic CVT technology adjusts to your driving style, seamlessly changing the final drive ratio to give you a smoother, more comfortable drive.
Enhanced Design
When we upgraded the exterior styling of the Honda Jazz, we also improved quality and function. We updated the bumper design, and added newly developed low-rolling resistance tyres to reduce air resistance and improve fuel economy.
We also updated the black mesh grill, and a rear combination light with a red lens to accentuate the curved exterior and keep you highly visible at all times. Which is no bad thing in a car with looks like these.
Advanced Safety
The Honda Jazz is one of the safest cars in Europe.
Euro NCAP's independent crash testing awarded the Jazz the maximum 5 star safety rating.
The body structure, technology systems and interior features of the car were all designed with the wellbeing of those inside and out kept in mind. We also included ABS brakes, Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist on all models, in addition to standard Honda safety features.
